Product Update: Birds Advanced Manufacturing for Business Central v28.1
Dynalogic is pleased to announce the release of Birds Advanced Manufacturing for Business Central v28.1, delivering meaningful improvements to both the Item Configurator and Project Based Manufacturing applications.
A more intuitive user experience
Both applications have received usability improvements that simplify daily tasks and reduce the time users spend navigating the system. The updated interface makes it easier for project managers, engineers and production teams to work efficiently within Business Central.
Copilot joins the workflow
Version 28.1 introduces new Microsoft Copilot capabilities in two key areas:
- Item Configurator now leverages Copilot to make adding and maintaining configuration data faster and easier.
- Project Based Manufacturing includes Copilot assistance for budget follow-up, helping project teams monitor project performance more efficiently.
These AI-assisted features reduce manual effort while supporting more consistent and accurate data entry.
Better project visibility
One of the most significant additions is the new Project Dimension. This allows project-related information to follow business processes such as Purchase Orders, giving users a much clearer overview of all activities linked to a project.
Instead of searching across multiple documents, users can now view related activities directly from the Project Card, making project follow-up and control considerably easier.
What's coming next
Development continues with the next release, where the Project Dimension will also be extended to Production Orders and Assembly Orders. This will provide manufacturers with an even more complete project overview throughout the production lifecycle.
With manufacturers increasingly looking for industry-specific solutions that integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Birds Advanced Manufacturing continues to evolve with practical functionality designed around real manufacturing processes.
